What martial arts does NBFA teach?

The Nisei Bujutsu Federation of America (NBFA) teaches structured traditional martial arts training with practical self-defense application. Our system, emphasizes discipline, character, rank progression, and leadership development for both youth and adults.

Where is NBFA located?

NBFA Home serves students in the Jacksonville, Florida area and surrounding communities. For location details and directions, please visit our Schedule or Contact page.

What days are classes held?

Core classes are help Tuesdays and Thursdays: Youth class and Adult class. Additional specialized sessions are scheduled separately throughout the year.

At what age can my child begin training?

Our youth program is designed for children at the age of eight. However, if youth is ready to follow instruction, demonstrate focus, and participate respectfully in structured training. Please schedule a consultation to determine readiness and placement.

Do you offer private lessons?

Yes. NBFA offers private instruction for students seeking individualized teaching, rank preparation, or accelerated growth. Private lessons are scheduled by appointment.

Is prior experience required?

No prior martial arts experience is required. Students are guided progressively through foundational trainingg regardless of starting point.

Do you teach self-defense?

Yes. Practical self-defense principles are incorporated into both youth and adult training. We also offer tactical and scenario-based applied defense sessions periodically.
